Port to Port Agreements

INTERNATIONAL PORT TO PORT AGREEMENTS

Dating back to the 1950s, the Port of Los Angeles has engaged in many international port to port agreements around the world. This includes 41 International Port Agreements, with 15 Countries, and 26 Port Authorities. These port agreements strengthen the economic and commercial bond between the respective port and their countries, which enhance trade, supply chain efficiencies, environmental stewardship, infrastructure development, increased security protocols, and an emphasis on new clean technology development and operational improvements that allows for sharing components of programs and policies to better both harbors.
