PORT OF LOS ANGELES NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR ITS COMMUNITY INVESTMENT GRANT PROGRAM
$1.3 Million in Grants to be Awarded; Virtual Workshop to be Held April 12
SAN PEDRO, Calif. – March 6, 2023 – Applications for the Port of Los Angeles Community Investment Grant Program are now being accepted through May 8. In Fiscal Year 2023/2024, the Port plans to award $1.3 million in non-taxpayer-funded grants supporting initiatives that benefit Los Angeles Harbor communities and the LA Waterfront, as well as Port goals related to international trade, the environment, sustainability, public safety and security.
Grant applications and information about the annual grant award process are now available on the Port’s website. This year grants will be awarded in three categories: under $5,000; between $5,000 and $100,000; and over $100,000.
Interested local organizations can learn additional details about the grant application process at a virtual workshop to be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 12. Click here when the meeting starts to participate. Grant applications are due by 4 p.m. Monday, May 8.
To be considered for a community grant, an applicant must represent a nonprofit organization with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. Since 2014, the Port of Los Angeles has awarded more than $9.3 million in support of local nonprofit initiatives though the Community Investment Grant Program.
