Military Equipment Funding, Acquisition and Use Policy
On Sept. 30, 2021, Governor Gavin Newsom signed legislation (Government Code 7070-7072) to address the funding, acquisition, and use of military equipment by law enforcement agencies in California. This legislation has designated certain equipment as “military equipment” under the code regardless of whether it was procured from the military or not.
