Yolanda De La Torre
Yolanda De La Torre was appointed to the Los Angeles Board of Harbor Commissioners by Mayor Karen Bass and confirmed by the Los Angeles City Council on Jan. 15, 2025.
 
De La Torre is a proud resident of Wilmington with nearly 30 years of dedicated service to the YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles, serving the past 24 years as Program Executive Director. Of the Wilmington YMCA Her passion lies in community outreach, building relationships, and collaborating with key individuals and organizations to promote the wellbeing of youth, families, and seniors in Wilmington and its surrounding areas. De La Torre also recent joined the Mission Advancement Team and support in Fund Development as Vice President.
 
Deeply committed to her community, De La Torre works closely with local stakeholders, government officials, and community-serving organizations. She is an active member of the Wilmington Rotary Club and was honored as Woman of the Year by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce in both 2019 and 2021. De La Torre holds a Bachelor of Science in human services from Springfield College and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. She is a proud mother of two children, who enjoys serving her community and cherishing quality moments with family and friends.
