Catalina Island

Santa Catalina Island, or Catalina, as it is popularly known, is a favored playground for Southern Californians and visitors to the area.  Owned by the Santa Catalina Conservancy and private citizens, Catalina is one of eight islands that comprise the Channel Islands of California.
